Choose the right makeup to look your best

Makeup Consultation for You: Find Your Perfect Makeup Shade
In order to choose the right makeup shade for yourself, you must know what your skin tone and skin type is, and then accordingly go for the makeup

shade. Refrain from the use of cheap cosmetics as these products can cause a number of skin problems. Use of branded products might dig a hole in your pocket, but they are well worth it. Always remember: it is better to play safe in matters of the skin.
Choosing the right shade of makeup for different skin type
Following are some tips on how you can choose makeup based on different skin tone:
1.       Fair skin tone: Those of you who have a fair skin tone, finding the right makeup shade becomes difficult as even the lightest of color stands out, which does not always give a good look. You should go for soft pink, coral and peach shades. These shades will enhance your natural beauty by keeping the skin tone natural.
2.       Medium skin tone: Medium skin toned people should go for shades, such as golden brown, honey, and bronze. These shades work really well in enhancing your skin tone when used as bronzers or highlighters. Besides these shades, lavender and rich blue shadows can give your eyes a very different and bright look.
3.       Olive skin tone: In this type of skin tone, you can enhance your natural skin tone by applying rosy pink, warm or peach blush with a hint of shimmer on your cheekbones and voila, you are done.
4.       Dark skin tone: People with dark skin tone can pull off any shade of makeup except light shades. Bright glossy deep pink lipsticks to jewel-toned purple shadow- these pigmented cosmetics go well in dark skin tone. You can also try bright orange blush or cranberry colors to enhance your skin tone.
Makeup according to skin types
Now that, we are done with the skin tones, let us focus our attention on choosing the right make-up according to the skin type.
1.       Dry skin: If you have dry skin, the first and foremost, moisturize your face very nicely after every wash. Then apply a primer, which will give a smooth base for the application of make-up. Use liquid based foundation, concealer, blush and highlighter. Dry skinned people tend to have dry lips, so before applying lipstick, apply lip balm. Always use those makeup products which are exclusively available for dry skin.
2.       Oily skin: If you have oily skin, application of a primer becomes a must, after you cleanse your face properly. Apply powder with matte translucent formula before applying foundation. Always carry blotting paper with you and when you feel that your skin is looking oily, follow a simple trick- put the blotting paper on your face, let it absorb the oil and then roll it off your face, instead of rubbing the paper on your skin. This will help you in getting rid of the excess oil from your face, without taking off all your makeup. Use comedogenic make-up products which goes well with oily skin.
3.       The combination and sensitive skin: People with sensitive skin need to take special care when they are shopping for their makeup products- always look for the labels of hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic over the products which you are buying. As sensitive skin cannot tolerate facial powder, a liquid foundation should use. Use a sponge to apply the make-up and do not rub it as this may cause irritation. Eye make-up is not a factor to bother for sensitive skin as long as it is fragrance-free.
