Tight inner wears during events leave marks and itchy skin

Don’t Let Skin Infections Deter Your Confidence – Treat Them Effectively

Tight fitting clothes surely are in fashion – and why not? By wearing these outfits, you can flaunt your curves and make yourself look slim and young. And it is obvious that underneath, you need to wear tight lingerie to give your body that hour-glass shape.  But, as it is said, everything comes at a price and in this case, the price which you need to pay is disastrous for your health. These tight-fitting garments whether it is a pair of skinny jeans or a tight inner wear, restrict the flow of blood in the body. This may lead to the compression of a nerve in your leg, which consequently will go numb or get swollen. Moreover, wearing such attire results in several skin allergies and infections.
Here, we will talk about the most common skin infections caused by wearing tight lingerie, their causes and the cures.

Chaffing

When the skin happens to be in friction with a model’s own skin or clothes for extended period of time, chaffing occurs. Chafing between thighs is indeed a bad experience as this makes simple activities such as walking or jogging very difficult. Chafing can occur anywhere in the body.
The common symptoms of chafing are burning sensation, stinging, excessive irritation, swelling and itching. Synthetic clothes cause more chafing than cotton clothes so avoid such fabrics. Apply talcum powder in those areas which are sweatier so that the friction between the skin and the clothes can be reduced. Dry skinned models need to keep their skin moisturized. Applying Petroleum jelly/ baby oil/ almond oil/lavender oil/vitamin E cream or aloe vera gel can help them in getting rid of chaffing.

Yeast Infection

When you wear tight-fitting clothes, you sweat more and hence invite bacteria to grow on your skin. Also, the tight fitting lingerie can cause a lot of friction, which in turn breaks down the skin’s natural protective barrier, hence leading to infections. Yeast infection is one such example.
The symptoms are burning sensation, red patches or marks, itching and even swollen skin. As yeasts grow in warm moist environments so make sure that you do not provide such an environment to the yeast to infect your body. You can use anti-fungal creams or anti-fungal tablets to treat yeast infection.

Itching

If you are wearing tight-fitting lingerie for a prolonged period of time, it can lead to itching. It can occur due to a fungal infection.
A model needs to make sure that she showers two times a day and wears clean clothes all the time. Using a few drops of antiseptic in your bathing water can help control infections to a great extent. Wear washed and clean lingerie to avoid itchiness and infections, as unwashed clothes are a host of infection causing germs. Itchiness and dryness lotions need to be carried by the models. But in case, the dreadful itch persists, it is better that she consults a dermatologist.

Itchy Skin Dryness

If the photo shoot requires you to wear tight-fitting clothes, you have no other option other than wearing it and wearing tight innerwear underneath it to support your body. But, take precautions. Moisturize your entire body properly. If you have dry skin, chances are there that you might suffer from dermatitis. Wearing tight bra causes red marks on the shoulders and therefore, you won’t be able to wear off-shoulder dresses when required. Red rashes appear on your skin because the outer protective layer of the skin has been damaged. Make it a habit to moisturize your entire body daily, take a shower after working out and change clothes frequently, wear lingerie made of breathable materials, and above all-stop wearing tight-fitting lingerie.

Final Word

So models, in the race to look petite and beautiful, do not let the fancy of tight lingerie grab you in its clutches. You can never be at your best when you are wearing such lingerie, which restricts your move and inflicts pain on your body. Consult your groomer if you do not know the right size of your lingerie. Your comfort comes first. Wear whatever you feel in comfortable in; your talent and attitude will see to it that everything else falls into place.
TIP: you MUST wear the right fit lingerie and clothes because too tight lingeries can easily harm your skin and cause cuts and itchiness. Also, just as dry weather can harm your skin, humid and sweaty weather is even more dangerous, so take the necessary precautions.
